Features

Flip-Dot Display
A flip-dot display draws power only when the content changes, not while it is showing. Each dot physically flips between black and yellow, creating contrast that increases in bright light rather than washing out. In direct sunlight, it reads like a traffic sign. A conventional LED display does not.
- No continuous power draw
- Contrast increases with ambient light
- Glare-free natural view
- Viewing angle 160° instead 70°/40° (LED display)

Operational clarity in real time
Occupancy data from every sensor updates on the Fleximodo platform continuously. Operators monitor all zones from a single interface, review events and manage devices without touching the signs themselves.
Designed for deployment, operation, and scale
Built for outdoor environments where cabling is impractical and reliability is non-negotiable.
No External Power Required
The signage is self-powered using a solar panel and rechargeable battery, removing the need for cabling or grid connection. This makes installation faster, simpler, and more cost-effective.
Minimal Power Consumption
Flip-dot display technology only uses energy when the content changes. Once displayed, information remains visible without continuous power draw.
Reliable in Extreme Conditions
Built to operate in temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C and humidity up to 95%, the signage performs reliably in harsh outdoor environments.
Shock & Vibration Resistant
Durable flip-dot elements withstand vibration and movement, making the signage suitable for roadside, mobile, and high-traffic installations.
Long Lifespan
Designed for over 150 million display changes, the system supports decades of operation with minimal maintenance.
Plug & Play
Once connected to your parking system, the signage updates automatically with real-time data. No manual intervention needed.
IoT Parking Signage Showcase
Each project reflects a different regulatory environment, site layout, and usage pattern — showing how the setup adapts in practice.

Domotica – Historic Town Centre, Żurreq
The municipality of Żurreq deployed Fleximodo to digitise parking across its historic town centre — an environment where cabling is impractical and visual clarity matters. 100 LoRaWAN Sensor Mini units monitor occupancy across on-street bays. 23 flip-dot displays guide drivers to available zones: 5 large multi-row boards at main entry points and 18 compact 3-digit signs at intersections throughout the centre. All signs run wirelessly on NB-IoT with no grid connection required.

Pradiarňa – Employee Parking, Bratislava
Pradiarňa, one of Bratislava’s leading creative and business hubs, deployed Fleximodo to manage employee parking across 10 dedicated indoor spaces. Five flip-dot displays at key decision points show live availability, eliminating the need for manual bay management. Sensor Mini units keep the installation clean and unobtrusive in a renovated heritage building where cabling would be impractical.

JHAH – Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare
Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare digitised parking across 1,700 spaces at one of Saudi Arabia’s leading hospital facilities. With surface temperatures regularly exceeding 50°C and intense direct sunlight, LED displays were not a viable option. Fleximodo flip-dot signage — 60 displays deployed across the site — maintains full readability in direct sun, where contrast increases rather than fades. Live availability data from IoT parking sensors feeds every sign in real time.

Parking guidance signage in real-world deployments
Parking Guidance Signage for Every Environment

Street-level parking guidance
Guide drivers to available parking zones or streets using real-time availability displayed at key decision points. Solar-powered flip-dot signs install without cabling, making city-wide deployment fast and cost-effective even across large municipal areas.

Garage and level guidance
Direct vehicles to free parking levels or zones at entrances and intersections inside multi-level garages. Entry signs show total availability per floor so drivers commit to the right level before they enter, eliminating the full-loop search.

Priority and accessibility guidance
Display real-time availability for short-term, accessible and priority bays at entrances where congestion builds fastest. At high-turnover sites like hospitals and airports, accurate guidance reduces circulation traffic and gets drivers to the right space without staff intervention.

Employee and visitor navigation
Streamline employee and visitor flow with dedicated bay assignments and live occupancy displayed at every entry point. Permit-based guidance keeps reserved spaces available for the right people, with no barriers or manual enforcement needed.

Resident and guest parking guidance
Show residents and guests exactly which bays are available, reserved or restricted without physical bollards or barrier arms. Digital permit integration means the signage reflects actual assignments in real time, reducing disputes and unauthorised parking.
